Been looking for the Stones of Barenziah, and found a complete list of all the stone's locations, however; I was "certain" I had picked up 18 on this list and I on;t have 17 in my inventory. I've double checked all of the locations again, and I know of 6 of the 7 that I KNOW I haven't got (Purely because I haven't been to those locations yet ...You'll find the stone on one of his shelves. 9. In Yngvild, a cave north of Winterhold and east of Dawnstar, check behind the throne to find a chamber that is hiding the stone. 10. In the College of Winterhold during the Under Saarthal quest search the shelves of the Arch-Mages Quarters to find a stone. 11.Since they are static items, the stones can't move, only taken, so it couldn't have been blasted by a fireball or similar. Originally the Dark Brotherhood stone and the Thalmor Embassy stone were the ones that you had one chance to get. They have since been moved to different locations so that you can get them. You still have to kill/join the dark brotherhood to get theirs but you can go into the cave before doing the Thalmor Embassy quest.Both the Word Wall and the Stone are accessible even after the sanctuary is destroyed.
