Sometimes you have to move a little put it back to Nuetral and cycle till the light goes off. When the VDC light is on you might've turned on the 4wd without doing it properly and it gets stuck in low range. Hopes this helps. Now both the VDC OFF and SLIP lights are back on. Well the first thing you will need to do is have the truck scanned for codes. Most likely when you disconnected the battery you cleared the G-Sensor and Steering Angle sensor calibrations.
