First-year students who apply for admission by December 15 of their senior year in high school will be automatically considered for these institutional scholarships. In some cases an on-time FAFSA is also required. While these scholarships are not applicable to transfer students, we have a variety of scholarships available to UT transfer students.A GPA of 3.5 is considered good and is near the average GPA of some highly competitive national universities. For acceptance to most universities, a minimum of a 3.0 GPA is required.Scholarships are merit-based, competitive and a limited number are available. To be considered you must meet the criteria for consideration, be admitted by the Application Deadline and complete any application materials noted. Scholarships consider your unweighted cumulative GPA and are renewable for 4 years.
