I purchased a 2000 XJ about 2 months ago. It has just under 140K and has been pretty much babied. Female driven and never off-roaded. That it about to change. I was just wondering what you would recommend as far as oil brand/type as well as transmission fluid and differential oil. Whole process not including jacking up the front of the truck might take 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you can pump the fluid back in. Very easy, absolutely no point in bringing it to a shop.

Front differential: Oil was kinda milky, obviously some water had gotten in some time. Refilled with Mobil 1 75W-90. Rear differential: Oil was brown-grayish. Replaced that bolt in there (old one wasn't too bad) and refilled with Mobil 1 75W-90. Transmission: Oil looked fine, but probably old. Replaced filter and refilled with synthetic Dexron III.No MH doesn't have any fins for heat transfer inside their diff cover at all. PPE also has the bungs for a gauge if your going to add one.
