Review of Cheyenne Bottoms Reviewed January 27, 2019 Used to, years ago, make an annual 3 or 4 day trip there with my hunting buddies in early November to hunt ducks, primarily.Waterfowl seasons are open statewide. The first split of the season at Cheyenne Bottoms will remain open until December 6. Duck season in the late zone (including Quivira NWR) remains open through January 3; however, hunting has been closed at Quivira for several weeks due to Whooping Crane presence. Upland bird hunting is also open statewide.Pool 1A-11", Pool 1B-small area of sheet water, Pool 1C-dry, Pool 2-dry Pool 3A-10", Pool 3B-dry, Pool 4A-dry, Pool 4B-dry, Pool 5-2".
