Mark answered 6 years ago. I have a 2008 Pontiac G6. Engine light was coming on, temperature gage would not work and air-conditioning would blow but not blow cold air. I was given the code P0128, which is the coolant temperature sensor. Replacing next week for a total cost of $85.The light is still on. I got my friend to run the codes and they came out to be P1682 and P0449 (That code was on there twice.) I did a little research and these are the results I found: P1682 - Low Cat Efficiency. P0449 - Electrical or Emission Canister Solenoid Emission Valve. If anyone has any suggestions or I am WAY off please tell me.The 2007 Pontiac G5 has 2 problems reported for check engine light on. After a couple of weeks I replaced the gas cap and the message went away immediately. A few weeks later this started happening again, an addition the check engine light would come on.
