Oath strictly works by the letter of the law. There isn't any room for interpretation. Oath is a moral code in function totally amoral in execution.As long as you keep in mind the tenets of your oath (for vengeance specifically, granting mercy in certain contexts can break your oath because of who you're granting mercy to), you should be good.
