Definitely not posting because I got man handled by sturgia. Edit: tested and legionaries smashed the other units so I think it was my shitty formation. Dismounted druzhina are the best in the game. As for actual infantry, against infantry, legionnaires are the best. Against archers and cav, Sturgian heavy spearmen are the best.Battanian troops mostly sucked except for their Fians which hard carried them to being a pretty strong faction. Battanian Fians were best archers, Imperial Legionaries were best infantry, Vlandian Banner Knight were best melee cavalry, but Khuzait Khan Guard were basically almost as good in melee while also being amazing in ranged.100% battanian fians. Or. 100% khans guard. For my perfect balance probably 50% archer, 40% infantry, and 10% cav. Basically near equal parts infantry and archers and some cav to use for gadget or emergency purposes. I’ve experimented with pretty much everything now and this is my preferred way to play the game.
